Patrick Maher.
Patrick Maher is an Irish born screenwriter who has lived in Brussels for the past ten years.
After graduating with a degree in sculpture from Limerick college of art, he spent some years living in France and Germany where he made his first short film. He returned to study Film Production in Ireland and went on to work for 10 years on Irish televisions long running soap opera, "Fair City".
As well as writing and / or directing 3 more short films, Patrick has been awarded script funding by the Irish Film Board and won an RTE award.
In Brussels, he recently wrote and directed a theatre play for the Irish Theatre Group; "Come home, James Gurr" which was staged in March 2014.
As well as continuing with film and theatre projects Patrick teaches and runs creative and drama classes at a Brussels 3 European School, Ixelles.
